What is ISCRO?
ISCRO is a financial support benefit for self employed workers who have a Partita IVA and are registered with the INPS Gestione Separata. It is essentially an unemployment benefit designed for Partita IVA holders
What are the requirements to apply for it?
To be eligible for ISCRO, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Your income in the previous tax year must be less than 70% of the average income earned during the two tax years before that. Example: If you apply for ISCRO in 2026, the income you earned in 2025 must be less than 70% of the average income earned in 2023 and 2024.
- Your income in the previous tax year must not exceed €12.000.
- You must be up to date with all your mandatory social security contributions.
- You must have had your Partita IVA for at least three years.
How much will I receive?
The monthly benefit is calculated as 25% of half of the average income earned during the two tax years preceding the tax year before the application.
Example:
- Income in 2024: €6.000
- Income in 2023: €5.500
Step 1 – Calculate the average income:
€6.000 + €5.500 = €11.500
€11.500 ÷ 2 = €5.750
Step 2 – Calculate half of the average (6 months):
€5.750 ÷ 2 = €2.875
Step 3 – Calculate 25% of that amount:
€2.875 × 25% = €718,75
This means you would receive €718,75 per month.
Please note that the monthly benefit:
- cannot be less than €250, and
- cannot be more than €800.
For how long will I receive the benefit?
The ISCRO benefit is paid monthly for six months.
