What is the DID?
The DID is your registration on the unemployment list, where you formally declare that you are unemployed.
When can I request it?
You can request it if:
- You are unemployed
- You are working as an employee (lavoro subordinato or parasubordinato) but your income does not exceed €8.500
- You are working as a freelancer (lavoro autonomo) but your income does not exceed €5.500
How can I obtain it?
- I f you have a CIE or SPID, you can obtain it through the ClicLavoro website.
- If you don’t have a CIE or SPID, you must book an appointment at the nearest Centro per l’Impiego.
Can I obtain the DID as a foreigner?
Yes, the DID is one of the most important documents for certain types of permesso di soggiorno.
What documents do I need to obtain it?
- If you are a European citizen: An Italian ID card, the ID card of your home country, or your passport, along with your codice fiscale.
- If you are a Non European citizen: Passport, valid permesso di soggiorno, and codice fiscale.
- If your permesso is expired: the expired permesso and the receipt for the renewal.
How much does it cost?
Requesting the DID is free of charge.
I requested the DID online, but my receipt says “appuntamento da pianificare.” What does that mean?
Even if you request the DID online, you still need to go to the Centro per l’Impiego to finalize the process and sign the Patto di Servizio Personalizzato.
